Rain.
There’s a hole in the sole
of my shoe.
There’s a hole where the water
seeps through.And the coat that I’m wearing’s
so thin.
I can feel where the water
gets in.And the hat on my head’s
a disgrace.
So the water it runs down
my face.Then my gloves they are tatty
and torn.
So the water, like ice – stings
like thorns.My whole body is withered
and old.
No wonder, this rain, makes
me cold.
