In this lovely, community-minded story, a giant octopus lands on a house in a town and everyone is surprised and rather thrilled, apart from Mrs Antrobus, who’s not impressed.
The Octopus soon makes many friends and the townspeople learn to value its contributions as they embrace it as one of them. Even Mrs Antrobus is persuaded that the eight-legged creature has a place amongst them after it saves her cat. But then one day Octopus disappears and everyone feels bereft.
